Hi, everybody, and welcome back. I am Johanna Dahlman and I am your host for the Alopecia Angel podcast. So welcome, today, we are talking about the tipping point, and I know all of you know exactly what I'm talking about. And maybe you haven't heard it in this form or in this fashion, but I'm going to tell you that it is the actual point of when you started seeing the hair loss. That is the tipping point.

And why is this relevant to you? It's relevant because we are all under the spell of thinking that it's one thing or one event or one situation that led to our hair loss, meaning I get this all the time, whether it's emails, instant messages, etcetera, and they're like: Oh, it happened because of this vaccine. Oh, it happened because of COVID. Oh, the hair loss started because of childbirth. Oh, it happened because of X, Y, Z, right? But that's really not the truth of the matter. Now, in actuality, it is right. Yes, you did see the hair loss at that time, but that is exactly the tipping point of when it happened.

For those of you with different types of hair loss, maybe it was a progression, right? There's some sorts and types, or maybe you've seen it little by little, maybe since you were a teenager, maybe since your twenties, that it was just little by little kind of like going down and less and less and less. For others it was like an exact moment in time where you got COVID, you got the third shot of the COVID vaccine and boom, it happened within 24 hours, two weeks, two months, and that's when it all started.

And granted, I honor that and I respect your belief in that, but from seeing the thousands of people who I've seen and from understanding alopecia to a greater extent and from my experience, I'm telling you that that was the tipping point of when everything dropped off, meaning that's the same thing as saying that was the straw that broke the camel's back. That's another analogy to it. That's the same thing.

So meaning our bodies, your body and mine included when it, when I was diagnosed with alopecia wasn't at its best, even though we think it was our normal and everything was great because we had our hair. But the thing is like, there was things in our lives that were adding on to the situation behind the scenes. There was things going on behind the scenes for that to happen. And then when it did happen, it shocked us, obviously. And it spiraled us into this situation of: OMG, I don't know what to do, I'm losing my hair, I need to go see a doctor, I need to go do this, I need to go do that, I need to go try that, I need to go try this, right? Spiraled us into a bunch of things, but this my friends is not the reality of it.

The reality is like our previous way of living was already adding on to the situation and it culminated in that one event in that one situation that many of you feel wholeheartedly that has happened to you, whether it was COVID or a vaccine or whether it was stress or whether it was a move or a divorce or anything else that you'd like to put your finger on and say that it's this to blame. I'm telling you it's not, that was just what broke the camel's back, that was just The tipping point.

And why is this important? It's important because from here we can understand a bigger picture. We can understand a bigger situation and we can also start to analyze. And maybe it doesn't make sense for you now, but for those of you that are in the Hair N' Heal program I know many of you listen and binge on my podcast when you're doing the program as well. And so this is a nugget for you when you're doing the program and of course, once you get the evaluation form and you get my recommendations, this is when you start to realize and understand a bit more of your own situation personally, and how things led up to where it got.

It's just like anything else, a breakup. Let's use a breakup as an example. A breakup doesn't happen overnight, a breakup happens because there's a culmination of situations and things that bother one person or the other. And then you're like, okay, we're done. It doesn't happen overnight, the same thing of like when you lose your job for the most part is because maybe You know, there's been multiple things that have let up.

Maybe it was poor performance. Maybe it was bad reviews or the same thing of getting like expelled from school, right? You don't get expelled out of nothing, you get expelled because there's a, you know, a long line, a long list of circumstances that led up to the principal and the school administration to say: thank you very much. Mr. And Mrs. Smith, your son, Johnny is no longer welcome here, right? It doesn't happen overnight. It happens because there's a culmination of events.

And just like that, there's also multiple factors that lead to healing your alopecia that lead to healing your hair loss. And so it's not just one thing. And so this is what I want to clear the air with because I'm getting a lot of: What one thing can I do to get my hair growth going and, if it was that simple, we wouldn't be here, but it's not that simple, it's bigger situation, and of course, it has to be personalized. You guys know this. It has to be personalized because why? Because it's all different. Healing a two year old is going to be different than healing a 12 year old and healing a 48 year old and a 68 year old. It's all going to look so different because we have all different diets and lifestyles, because we're all different people, because we're all different, you know, living in different countries. There's just so many things to it.

And so the tipping point is important for you to understand because it's part of your journey. Because it's part of why you're here right now. It's part of why you have hair loss. And it's part of the equation of you also understanding of how not to get back to this situation. It's also part of the situation. Now the tipping point exactly itself is one part of that factor, but there's many more factors that led you to have hair loss. And so when you put these all together, then you're like: Aha this makes sense. And this is what happened to me when I had my eureka moment with alopecia after the four years. And then I started to see the hair growth and I started to see so much more vibrancy and energy and enthusiasm and just sheer joy, because a not only did I see the hair growth, but all those ancillary conditions, all those ancillary symptoms, were gone.

It was like a veil that they were just gone everything from the brain fog to the dry hair to the dry eyes and the skin to the lack of motivation to the depression to the anxiety, it was just gone. And now after more than 5, 6 years doing this and helping thousands of people in over 66 countries. I understand and know and see the beauty of how healing works, the beauty of how we can really move the needle in a bigger way in such little time. And the coaching calls prove it. My clients prove it, and I know it's a proven method for you and for anyone who wants to heal their hair loss.

So I wanted to go ahead and share with you some great news. I will be speaking at a very, very prominent health conference in the US in May of 2024. I don't want to announce it fully because we're still under agreements, I just signed the contract and so things are moving, and I'm very, very excited, though. And if you don't know before COVID, I was actually speaking abroad in Europe and right before COVID actually, I was also speaking in the US but then COVID happened, everything stopped, and now I'm picking up More with the, with the speaking, and which is great because I love speaking and I love bridging the gap.

And so the next podcast will be about bridging the gap because there's a gap of education that's needed and actually, let me just go ahead and spill the beans here. I'm going to be offering a free class to hairstylists, to people in the beauty industry who want to understand alopecia more who want to understand how to give support, knowledge and hair care advice for their clients. And this is a big part of what fuels my fire, because I was diagnosed in the hairstylist chair. I was diagnosed at the hair salon and looking back one hairstylist had brought it to my attention, but she never said it was alopecia, so I brushed it off like: Ah bald spot, whatever it'll grow back. I have tons of hair because I've always had tons of hair.

And then, four months later, I go see my regular hairstylist. Who knows me since I'm 13, and he says, Johanna, you have alopecia. You need to go see a doctor. And that's all he says. He doesn't give me any more support, he sees me crying in the chair, he sees me Googling and, you know, frantically looking for answers online, and he doesn't say one more word. He can't give me any more information. And this lack of support from someone who knows me since I'm 13 was somewhat shocking. He knows me, he knows my mom, he knows my grandma, he knows my uncle, he's done all of our hairs, he's done my sister's hair. He's seen essentially everyone in my family. And yet he didn't have the knowledge, the heart to give more information.

And I actually recently saw him maybe about like four or five months ago, I saw him recently in California and I was telling him: Hey, Marcos, what do you think if I were to go around to beauty schools, educating people on alopecia from where it starts with the beauticians, from where it starts with the estheticians, from where it starts with people who are going to be doing people's hair for 10, 15, 20, 30 years and develop these relationships. And you know what he said? And this is someone who's very seasoned, who's been in the hair industry for over 30 years, very, very seasoned. He's like: they don't care. He told me: Johanna, they don't care, and I find this very, very hard to believe. I find this very, very hard to believe that hairstylists in general, as he says, don't care about people's health concern, about people's hair loss, about people's alopecia, about people, their clients.

And it's not just their clients. It's. It's almost their friends because they see them on on a regular basis. I mean, some of you, some women get their hair done every three weeks, three to six weeks. That means I'm seeing you at least once a month. And for a lot of people, that's actually more seeing them more than seeing family, right? So you got to put into perspective, like these are people that we're seeing on a daily basis, and if they are on the forefront, right? of the line. And if they're diagnosing and saying: Hey, you have alopecia. And if they're pointing something out, just like if I had a big zit on my face, someone would point that out, you know, or some spinach on my cheek or some food on my face, someone would point that out.

It's the same thing. So I'm here to announce and to say that I will be bridging the gap. My journey starts in seeing multiple schools and in educating and trying to get the word out on what alopecia really looks like and what the prognosis is, what the different options are and also give an inclusive and holistic perspective of this because it can't be a one sided approach. It can't be a one sided discussion, and we need more education and I'm here to provide that. And so if you're a hairstylist, or if you have a hairstylist, which I'm sure you do, send them to me, I'm happy to give them this free education, I'm happy to share it with them and the whole salon and anyone else they'd like to share it with in terms of educating for alopecia.

Because I feel like as a, as a brand, as a company, as a person who's gone through it myself and now who helps thousands of people, I feel like it's my duty to bridge that gap in education. I understand now why so many nurses, doctors, functional medicine, doctors, dermatologists, pharmacists, dieticians, nutritionists do my program. Not just because they have hair loss and alopecia and they can't figure it out, but it's because there's also a gap in education on that side as well. And so this is what I'm talking about, about bridging the gap, we need to bridge this gap.

And so I'm launching this program just for hairstylists. In particular, but if you're a parent and you want this program for your school or for your child's school, I'm happy to share it as well. Granted, it would be directed more towards the hairstylists but potentially I could create another one just for schools to educate people on alopecia. And I think this education and the awareness is crucial because it makes us more empowered, but it also makes us more aware of what's going on.

And how to help others, because there is help, this isn't a life sentence. It can be if you want it to be, but it doesn't have to be. We all have a choice in healing, right? Just like if I had a zit on my face, I have a choice on to put some acne cream on it or some toothpaste or to do something else about it. But there's many ways to heal acne, there's many ways to heal hair loss, but there's only one proven route. And that's the holistic route and that's the Alopecia Angel method and the education that I provide is unparalleled. I haven't found it anywhere and this is why I'm on a mission to provide it to others.

I'm on a mission to help heal others. And I'm on a mission to ensure that people don't have to suffer longer than they should. They don't have to feel like their bodies have mistaken or given up on themselves or that they're at a loss because it's just the opposite. This is a learning lesson. It's a learning lesson for me, where it was, and it's a learning lesson for all my clients who go through the program. This is a time and a place for you to understand exactly what's going on, what your tipping point was, what led up to that tipping point, and then how to never ever have alopecia again. Easy. How to never ever have hair loss again.

So anywho, if you'd like more information about this hairstylist program that I'm offering for free, please let me know. I'm happy to bridge this gap. I will be speaking at this health conference, which I'm super excited about more details to come and to share about that.

And then of course. Understanding the tipping point and within the program. This is where we talk about your situation and your evaluation. There will be one last chance to join the program this year. It will be coming up in October and this will be the last chance to join for the rest of the year.

So I look forward to speaking to you all next week. Take care.
